2023 Cupertino High School / De Anza College Invitational
Post- Entries Information
Hi Coaches,
Thanks for entering our meet this Saturday at De
Anza College.
We try to accommodate all of the entries, but we have received an overwhelming
number of entries for some of the events, such that meet management had to
cut some of the lower-level entries, particularly frosh/soph.
This meet is a varsity-based meet, and has
always been.
You were able to enter your
frosh/soph in multiple relay teams.
We have
usually been able to absorb the lower-level field event folks, but this year we
had to cap those numbers also in some events.
The accepted entries will be published later today on
Lynbrooksports.com.
Please do not call or email about your individual school entries. The entries are closed.
Here is a look at some of the numbers. There were 147 entries for the 100, 145 for the 200, 144 for
the 800, 184 for the 1600. The facility has a nine lane track.
4/4/23
Top Flight or Best Throwers/Jumpers will be in the first flight of each
field event so they know when to warm up and check in. We have always
done this in the past so throwers aren't sitting there a couple hours
before throwing.
4 Throws and 4 Jumps no finals.
20 minutes warm-up between flights.
30 minutes for the first flight when checking in.
Opening Height for VG High Jump will be 4'4"
Opening Height for VB High Jump will be 5'2"
Opening Height for VG Pole Vault will be 7'6"
Opening Height for VB Pole Vault will be 9'0"
Running Events should be checked in 30 Minutes prior to
the start of the first heat of each event. All running events will check
in to the tents in the NW corner of the stadium behind the starting line of
the 100. All athletes will be lined up there and held there, then
escorted to the starting line when they are on hold to get ready for their
events. All relay team members need to check in and will go to their
zones after being given instructions in the holding area. There are no
warm-ups or team camps or spectating on the football field. All warm-ups
will be on the soccer fields to the east of the stadium.
Field Event Instructions.
Weigh-ins for Shot and Discus will begin at 8:00 AM in
the shed near the finish line.
Check in for all field events at the event
location.
We will want all Field events to be available 1 hour
before their flight starts. If there are lots of scratches, we will try
to get rolling faster in events.
